Skilled Prosthodontist in Weston

Get to Know
Dr. Mario Gatti

Dr. Gatti’s grandfather was a physician, and his father was a dentist and a physician in Italy. Their compassion toward others was the driving force in his decision to become a healthcare provider. He says that he loves being a prosthodontist because he has the training to fully restore function, comfort, and confidence for his patients. No other dental specialty requires such a high level of technical precision and artistic judgement, and seeing someone smile confidently again is incredibly satisfying.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Gatti's career in dentistry began early, working as an assistant in his father's dental office during summer breaks in high school. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he was a student of the late Dr. Lloyd Miller. He then completed his residency at Boston University. After practicing as a general dentist, he chose to pursue advanced specialty training in prosthodontics, a decision shaped by both his residency experience and time in private practice, which helped him refine his clinical interests and build confidence in managing complex cases.

He is now a board-certified prosthodontist with advanced fellowships in esthetic and surgical implant dentistry, and he has earned the following distinctions:

  • Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists
  • Fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics
  • Member of the American Academy of Prosthodontics

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Gatti admits to being a daredevil before he had kids, frequently going SCUBA diving (night dives, wrecks, caves, etc.), spear fishing, sky diving, and more. Now he and his lovely wife, Emily, have three wonderful children, including a set of twins! Being Italian, his passions outside of dentistry are food (Italian and Japanese), sports (mainly soccer, Inter Milan is his favorite team), and F1 (he grew up near Monza and used to go to the racetrack to watch the F1 Italian Grand Prix every September). On weekends, you’ll usually find him cooking for his family, watching his children play sports, or relaxing at Newfound Lake.
